Some Nigerians who were apparently able to witness the solar eclipse have uploaded images and videos of it.
According to the National Aeronautics and Space Agency, a total solar eclipse occurs when the moon passes between the sun and the Earth, temporarily covering the sun’s brightness.
Images released online by several Nigerians from the states of Oyo and Kano claimed to illustrate what they saw during the brief eclipse.
Although it was thought to be limited to the Pacific region of Mexico, Canada, and over ten US states, several Nigerians felt it to some extent.
Sky Girl, a netizen, claimed on Twitter that she witnessed the partial eclipse and recorded a video of it which she shared.
