The Federal Medical Centre patient identified as Saba Elizabeth is being trailed by the Ogun State Police Command. She is a patient at Idi-Aba Abeokuta in Ogun State.

According to information obtained by PUNCH Online, the patient allegedly fled the medical facility on Saturday because she was unable to pay her expenses after receiving treatment for an undisclosed illness.

According to information obtained by our correspondent, Elizabeth was admitted to the medical center’s gynecological ward on November 11, 2023, and was scheduled to be released on November 16, 2023.

Nevertheless, she was unable to leave the hospital since she was unable to pay the medical center’s debt.

She was accused of lying to hospital officials about her desire to shop for food at a nearby store, even though she knew she would never be able to pay her medical expenses. She was never heard from again.

According to additional information obtained by our correspondent, the Chief Security Officer of the medical center, Akpoji Joshua, reported the incident to the Kemta Police Division on Sunday after all attempts to locate Elizabeth were unsuccessful.

The police in Kemta Division were assisting the hospital in finding the patient, according to Omolola Odutola, the public relations officer for the state police, who spoke with our correspondent on Tuesday.

“We are investigating to unravel her whereabouts through her family members,” she simply stated.
