Nyesom Wike, the minister of the Federal Capital Territory, is currently holding a meeting at his Abuja office with members of the Peoples Democratic Party Governors’ Forum.
At approximately 12:40 p.m., the governors arrived at Wike’s office, led by Bala Muhammad, the governor of Bauchi state and Chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum. The governors of Taraba, Agbu Kefas; Plateau, Caleb Muftwang; and Adamawa, Ahmadu Fintiri, accompanied him.
Shortly after the governors entered Wike’s office, though, he called them in for a private discussion.
In an attempt to step in and resolve the situation in Rivers state following the minister’s purported attempts to remove governor Siminalayi Fubara, the governors are meeting with Wike on Monday.
