Here’s What It Cost to Buy Presidential, Governorship Forms on the Platform of the PDP
The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP has announced the sale of Expression of Interests and Nomination forms for the 2019 general elections.
If you intend to run for the office of president on the PDP platform, you will have to part with N12million (N2million for Expression of Interest form and N10million for Nomination form).
Governorship aspirants on the PDP platform will cough out N6million (N1million as Expression of Interest form and N5million for the Nomination form).
It will cost a senatorial aspirant N3.5million on the PDP platform, House of Reps aspirant N1.5million and House of Assembly N600,000.
However, the PDP says all female aspirants don’t have to pay a dime to vie for political office on its platform.
“All female aspirants are exempted from purchase of nomination forms for all offices”, the PDP said in a statement.
Senate President Bukola Saraki, former Kano Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, Gombe Governor Ibrahim Dankwambo, former Jigawa Governor Sule Lamido and former Kaduna Governor Ahmed Makarfi are some of the high profile PDP politicians who have declared their interests to run for the office of president ahead of the 2019 elections.
