A video of a modest wedding ceremony has gone viral, with one million views on TikTok.
In the video, uploaded by @obedchukwuthefirst, the bride wore a wrapper and a black polo shirt with Crocs.
It’s unclear if it was the real wedding or the introduction ceremony, but she was handed a cup of palm wine to locate her spouse, which is customary during ‘igba nkwu.’
When the lady found her husband, she knelt before him and handed him a cup of palm wine.
The guy took the cup, drank a bit of the wine, and handed it to his wife to sip. The video is popular because of the overall simplicity.
Some argued that it could just be the introduction ceremony, but others said they would like their own wedding to be that simple.
