Pero Osaiyemi, one of the mothers of the renowned Nigerian artist 2baba’s seven children, has addressed a critic who disparaged her for supporting Donald Trump in the upcoming 2024 U.S. presidential election.
The mother of four posted a video on her Instagram after casting her vote, expressing her endorsement of Trump’s administration with a caption that stated: “TRUMP/VANCE/ELON/RFK/VIVEK/TULSI. MAGA. MAHA. TOOBIGTORIG.”
In the comments, a troll derisively referred to Pero as an “immigrant,” seemingly questioning her eligibility to vote for Trump. Pero promptly responded, clarifying her status as a legal immigrant.
“Yes, a legal immigrant,” she asserted. This rebuttal garnered significant support from her followers, many of whom commended her for her assertiveness. One user, Life Of Joy Amy, remarked, “Trump is only after illegal immigrants, so why are some people pressed?”
Others contributed to the discussion, emphasizing the difference between legal and illegal immigration. Divine Michy1 noted, “It’s illegal immigrants that have a problem with Trump being president,” while Schatz Unique simply stated, “Yooh! Her response enter.”
Support continued to flow in, with Oby Uwkuegbu commenting, “You answered her well. I’m Nigerian, but people should respect others’ choices. She should vote for whom she desires.”
Numerous others praised Pero’s reply, with comments such as “Her comeback is” from Veey Stitches Fashion and “A legal immigrant,” from Anyaoha Benjamin.
