“Peter’s statement led to my involvement in the EFCC’s case” – Says Rudeboy

  • Paul Okoye, also known as Rudeboy, clarified that his name was not mentioned in the petition his twin brother Peter wrote but in a statement issued after the petition.
  • Mr. P reported to Paul that Jude, former manager and director of P-Square, made some money during their time apart.
  • Rudeboy instructed Peter to either forgo and move on or gather money from their separation and share it with the P-Square’s income-sharing formula in a Memorandum of Understanding.

Paul Okoye, popularly known as Rudeboy, has revealed that his name was not included in the petition submitted by his twin brother Peter, but rather appeared in the statement he released following the petition.

He explained that Peter, also known as Mr. P, approached the EFCC after informing him that Jude, their former manager and director of the now-defunct P-Square, had earned some money during their period of separation.

Rudeboy mentioned that he advised Peter to either let it go and move forward or to collectively account for the money they earned while apart and distribute it according to P-Square’s income-sharing agreement outlined in a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

He shared these insights during an Instagram live session on Monday, August 19.

Paul stated: “If you open the petition Peter wrote, my name is not there. I was mentioned in the statement he wrote to back the petition.

“Peter said he met me one time and told me about diversion, Yes, he met me after we came back together. He told me that do I know Jude made some money while we were separated and I said ‘I know, just like we both made money.

“I told him ‘We were all receiving, but now it doesn’t make sense, we are back, let’s not go back, let’s focus’.

“He told me ‘na we be the artist’. I reminded him, ‘Have you forgotten we have an MOU that stated that everything about P-Square is Peter, Paul and Jude?’. But he insisted ‘MOU doesn’t count, na we be the artist’. I said ‘But the document is there, we cannot.’

“Then I told him, the best way to balance this thing is ‘if Jude made some money let him bring it, both of us would also bring ours so that we’ll use the MOU to share’, he didn’t want to.

“Since he didn’t want to I left it that way, and now we’re in the EFCC.”
