“Please Forgive Me” – Lateef Adedimeji Apologizes To His Colleague At The Premiere Of His Film ‘Lisabi’

Lateef Adedimeji and his wife, Mo Bimpe, one of Nollywood’s favorite couples, finally launched their much-anticipated movie, Lisabi, and Lagos was alive with excitement for the premiere.

The red carpet event took place on the evening of Wednesday, September 25, at the famous Filmhouse Cinema in City Mall, Lekki, creating a buzz throughout the entertainment scene.

It was a night filled with star-studded appearances, as Nollywood legends like Odunlade Adekola, Femi Adebayo, Toyin Abraham, Itele, and Ibrahim Chatta, among many others, showcased their stunning outfits. The gathering of these stars turned the event into a remarkable showcase of Nollywood excellence.

The moment that truly grabbed everyone’s attention happened when Lateef Adedimeji took the microphone in front of a full room of colleagues, friends, and fans.

He spoke from the heart, showing his deep gratitude for their support. Then, he took an unexpected emotional turn. In a humble act, he bowed his head low and sincerely apologized to anyone he might have unintentionally hurt while making Lisabi.

His openness surprised everyone as he acknowledged that striving for perfection can lead to misunderstandings. However, he reassured them that every challenge was worth it, proudly stating that Lisabi was a perfect creation.

His genuine apology was met with cheers, leaving the audience filled with admiration for his honesty and commitment to his work.

Netflix has confirmed that ‘Lisabi: The Uprising’ will debut on September 27, 2024, with its sequel, ‘Lisabi: A Legend is Born,’ set to release in January 2025.

Laterf revealed that the budget for ‘Lisabi: The Uprising’ is N400 million.
