Grammy award-winning singer, Burna Boy, breaks silence on why he has been silent on the ongoing 2023 presidential elections.
This comes following the announcement of some collation results of some states in Nigeria; the highlight of it being Peter Obi’s win in Lagos State.
Burna Boy who has been condemned earlier for keeping silent and not lending his voice to his desired candidate opens up to say that he believes in none of the politicians or their parties.
In an Instagram story, Odogwu wrote; “I dunno why it’s such a big deal to some Nigerians that I’ve not been vocal about the elections. Personally I don’t have a candidate that I believe in.
“I’ve never supported any political party or candidate in my life beacause I don’t want to make you vote and then blame me when the person fucks up as usual. That being said, I hope all votes count and the best man wins.”
Burna pressed on to share some reactions from his followers who ridiculed his justifications. A social media user rubbished him for not pointing out a party for his fans to support.
“If it is who will show you who to vote for ur looking for, please look up to someone else,” he wrote in response.
