The Nigeria Labor Congress plans to hold a street protest today January 11th over the decision of the state government to sack over 21, 000 teachers that failed the competency test conducted for all public school teachers in the state in October last year.
This morning, a massive deployment of military and police personnel could be seen across the state to stop the protest or manage it so it does not degenerate into a fracas. See photos of the security officers positioned in various parts of the state
