Afrobeats producer Adegboyega Ikwue Ogunlesi, known as Adey, reported that he was shot at police in Lagos.
He said the officers accused him of trying to harm them on the highway.
He also mentioned that they almost crashed his car by grabbing the steering wheel and pushing him into a ditch.
On his X handle, he wrote, “Nigerian police shot at me today, claimed I tried to kill them, and almost totalled my car by grabbing the steering wheel and driving me into a ditch.
“No wahala.”
In a different post, the music producer expressed his frustration with Nigeria and the police violence happening there.
The Lagos State Police Command has not replied to these claims yet.
