Police Launch Special Investigation team to Examine Mohbad’s Death

A 13-person special investigation team has been established by the Lagos State Police Command to look into the untimely passing of Nigerian artist Ilerioluwa Aloba, well known as Mohbad.

At a press conference on Monday, Lagos Police Commissioner Idowu Owohunwa announced this and promised to utilize all of his authority to track down the murderers.

“Remember that we have exclusive access through INTERPOL. Everybody connected to it (the death of Mohbad) would be found and brought in to explain their level of involvement, according to Owohunwa.

Mohbad, formerly known as Naira Marley and a signee of Azeez Faashola’s Marlian Records, passed away last Tuesday at the age of 27.

On Wednesday, he was laid to rest in Lagos’ Ikorodu neighborhood.
