Legendary singer James Ingram has been announced dead at the age of 66. He died after battling brain cancer.
The announcement was made on social media by Debbie Allen who tweeted:
“I have lost my dearest friend and creative partner James Ingram to the Celestial Choir. He will always be cherished, loved and remembered for his genius, his love of family and his humanity. I am blessed to have been so close. We will forever speak his name.”
James Ingram is a Grammy award winning artist and has collaborations with big names such as Quincy Jones and Anita Baker.
His hit ‘Baby, Come to Me’ which was released in 1983 made him very popular and also the hit ‘I Don’t Have the Heart’.
James Ingram also worked with Michael Jackson by co-writing the smash hit P.Y.T.
