Portable Abandons ‘Juju’, Turns To God After Saheed Osupa Released Him From Custody

Nigerians were not taken aback when street artist Habeeb Okikiola, better known as Portable, once again portrayed himself in a different light. The controversial musician has dominated headlines recently for a series of shocking events.

From making inflammatory remarks about industry peers to criticizing Fuji legend Saheed Osupa, Portable has been at the center of several media storms. Most recently, on April 15, he was released from police custody after Saheed Osupa decided to drop legal action against him.

In a move that stunned many, Portable also revealed a new look, shaving off his signature multicolored hair. In a new video posted online, he was seen in a moving vehicle, singing praises to God while expressing his need for divine intervention, citing the large number of enemies he believes are out to get him.

The video sparked a wave of reactions from his fans, some of whom criticized him for his ongoing disrespect towards others and the trouble he consistently finds himself in.

It’s worth noting that Portable had been granted bail earlier by an Upper Area Court in Ilorin, Kwara State, following an altercation with Saheed Osupa. The charges against him included criminal defamation, intimidation, public disorder incitement, and cyberstalking. The court outlined the specific conditions for his bail, and the amount set for his release quickly became a topic of online conversation.
