Nigerian singers Portable and Speed Darlington are set to resolve their ongoing dispute in a celebrity boxing match.

The highly anticipated showdown is scheduled for April 18 at the Balmoral Convention Centre in Victoria Island, Lagos.

Their feud began after Speed Darlington invited Portable to perform at his upcoming show, offering him ₦500,000. However, Portable declined the offer, mocking Darlington for being “poor” and claiming that his performance fee is ₦20 million.

Now, instead of exchanging words, the two artists will step into the ring to settle their differences. Fans are eagerly awaiting the match, which promises to be an entertaining spectacle.

“You are inviting me to a show, and you don’t have money. You are using my name to promote your show. I charge N20 million, ask around,” Portable said.

“… You’re offering me N500k, for what? I don’t want to be friends with poor people. I don’t know his that poor.”

In his response, Darlington accused Portable of insulting his mother.

“Why did I bring myself low? Why did I contact Portable? I regret it because why the insults? Why did my mother get into the discussion?” he said.

Portable reacted by daring Darlington to a fight, claiming he would win just like he did against actor Charles Okocha.

“I want to fight you. You should both be put in a boxing ring. I will defeat you like I defeated Okocha,” he bragged.

The boxing match was set up because of high demand, with the organizer Mygamerush sharing the news on Instagram.

“You asked and now it is here. Two street king’s battle for ultimate street supremacy,” the caption reads.
