Portable Snubs Speed Darlington’s Concert Invite, Sets ₦20m Price Tag

  • Nigerian singer Portable criticized fellow artist Speed Darlington.
  • Speed Darlington invited Portable to perform at his concert on April 13.
  • Portable rejected the invitation, claiming Speed Darlington was unrealistic about securing his performance.
  • Nigerian singer Habeeb Olalomi Badmus, popularly known as Portable, has strongly criticized fellow artist Speed Darlington after receiving an invitation to perform at his upcoming concert.

Speed Darlington, whose real name is Darlington Okoye, had extended an offer to Portable for his event scheduled for April 13. However, Portable dismissed the invitation outright, stating that Speed Darlington was only imagining things if he believed he could secure his performance.

In a fiery response, Portable accused the indigenous rapper of attempting to use him to boost publicity for the show. He also took a swipe at Speed Darlington’s reputation, insisting that he did not belong to the same category as him.

“I’m not a tout like you. I’m a hero, a superstar, a celebrity. I perform everywhere—I’ve performed in London, in America,” Portable declared.

Setting his conditions, the Zazu crooner demanded a staggering ₦20 million to make an appearance at the concert. He also claimed that Speed Darlington had previously contacted him via Instagram with an exaggerated offer of ₦500 million.

Portable concluded his remarks with a warning, emphasizing that he does not associate with financially struggling individuals.
