A disturbing story has dominated Nigerian social media. According to reports, a well-known Nollywood movie producer and actor were involved in a kidnapping gang that was recently apprehended by police in Lagos.
According to Nigerian authorities, Ason Rich, a renowned Nollywood producer, led a nine-person kidnapping team. Rich was allegedly killed during a police raid in Mushin, Lagos.
Another individual named in the group was Prince Henry Odenigbo, a rising Nollywood star.
He was also allegedly shot and killed by police during the same operation.
This revelation sparked a lot of discussion and astonishment on Nigerian social media, as both men were well-known characters in the Nollywood movie business.
According to blogger and actor Stanley Ontop, Ason Rich is one of the major film producer in asabawood.
In a video shared online, Stanley Ontop showcased some of Ason Rich’s films and the actors he has collaborated with, including Yul Edochie, Obio Oluebube, Uche Nancy, and many others.
Stanley Ontop also identified Prince Henry Odenigbo’s social media handle. He mentioned that Odenigbo was a rising Nollywood actor residing in Port-Harcourt.
