President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari has mentioned that it will be in the best interest of the country to remain united regardless of the recurring differences among her cultures.
Buhari made this disclosure during the deployment of corps members to a town who paid him a Sallah visit in Daura, Katsina on Tuesday, July 20.
While urging unity, the President also endorsed the National Youths Service Corps program, claiming that it has aided in the promotion of unity in Nigeria.
Buhari said;
“Not only the cultural differences but also physical differences and this is what makes Nigeria. That is why I feel strongly about NYSC and I will always wish you the best of luck. And I thank you for your service to the country.
“It’s better Nigeria remains united”
“I assure you that, there is much better of a Nigeria and rather than a fallout.”
Following his words, the President is said to have given the corps members two bulls, twenty bags of food, and one million naira.
