Priscilla Ojo Addresses Rumors of Excluding Father from Wedding Plans

Priscilla Ojo, the radiant bride and daughter of Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo, has dismissed speculations that she sidelined her father, Ademidun Ojo, in her wedding preparations.

Since announcing her wedding plans last year, Priscilla has actively involved her loved ones, particularly her mother, Iyabo, and other close family members. However, her father’s absence in online preparations and key ceremonies fueled rumors of a strained relationship.

The speculation peaked on Friday, February 7, 2025, when Priscilla and Tanzanian singer Juma Jux held a grand Islamic wedding in Tanzania. While the event was star-studded, with her mother, brother, friends, and relatives in attendance, her father’s absence sparked social media debates about a possible rift.

In response to the growing chatter, Priscilla took to Snapchat and shared a screenshot of a video call with her father. The post, which was spotted by gossip blog Gistlover and others, subtly reassured fans that despite her parents’ separation, she maintains a strong bond with her father.

In a 2023 interview with media personality Toke Makinwa, she shared rare insights into her union with Priscilla’s father, Ademidun Ojo, revealing that marriage was her first real encounter with poverty.

Recalling her initial visit to her ex-husband’s home, Iyabo admitted she was shocked by his modest living conditions. She described the ‘face-to-face’ apartment as a stark contrast to what she had envisioned, making it clear that her expectations did not align with reality.

Years after their separation, Iyabo has since moved on and found love again with music entrepreneur Paulo Okoye.
