Nigerian woman Ugegbe Oyibo has spoken out against the trolls who criticize her for her views on polygamy and traditional gender roles.
She proudly identifies as a second wife and is not bothered by the insults she receives for her choices. Oyibo believes her viewpoint is unique and has no regrets about her lifestyle.
“There’s something I’ve noticed here. People call me second wife,” she wrote in a Facebook post on Monday, March 24
”If you know me very well here you’ll know second wife thingy can’t be an insult because I don’t see it as anything
Can I be a second wife yes if the man meets my expectations or standards
There are different things I see differently from how anyone sees it
I’m also of the opinion that a man should take care of his girlfriend yes the girl should reciprocate but the guys own should be more
I’m also of the fact that a woman should cook for her man and cooking should be a woman thing not a skill
I’m also of the opinion that if you marry two wife you shouldn’t have a girlfriend again do the 3some with your wives and enjoy
I’m also of the opinion that women deserves salary monthly so if you’re dating or marrying please place your girlfriend or wife on monthly allowance even if she’s a billionaire
I’m also of the opinion that men should be respected and worshipped if he acts like a real man and odogwu.. Odogwu isn’t about money but attitude of a real man, providing is a key point !
I’m also of the opinion that men should not raise his hands on any woman, if you do it anything you see take am
I’m also of the opinion that even if a woman is 45-50 and not married she shouldn’t think having a child is better off.. you can be 16 and want a child, do not have children because you think of age, have a child because you can take care of him or her and not because of life or marriage pressure.
This may not seat well with you, we all have our choices and differences and how we see life
Proudly second wife.. so look for another insult.”
