Psquare’s Ex Signee Mr May D Drag Wizkid’s Fans Over Davido

Nigerian artist Mr. May D, whose actual name is Akinmayokun Awodumil, claimed he would have been a major force in the music scene before Wizkid if it weren’t for his issues with the now-disbanded group Psquare, led by Peter and Paul Okoye.

He made this strong claim during a lively discussion with Wizkid’s fans after he tweeted his admiration for Davido, who is Wizkid’s main competitor.

“Always proud of you @davido , very kind guy!! We don’t deserve you,” May D tweeted.

His tweet upset Wizkid’s fans, leading them to attack him with harsh words. In reply, May D, who was recently in the news for his performance in Ile Ife, Osun state, wrote.

“If no he wetin happen between me and Psquare , who be wiz ? Chai.”

On July 18, 2020, May D, known for his collaboration with Akon on Psquare’s popular song Chop My Money, revealed that he had signed a contract with Davido Music Worldwide (DMW).
