In a live chat on Instagram with Daddy Freeze, Nigerian singer Portable revealed some shocking information about his life and career.

He stated that his inability to win a Grammy Award is connected to his association with Queen Dami, the wife of the late Alaafin of Oyo.

Portable mentioned that he has been going through numerous difficulties, which he believes are a result of Queen Dami’s influence in his life.

He stated that he had sacrificed and prayed to Ifa, asking for advice on how to deal with his difficulties. The guidance he received was to pray for the removal of any barriers, whether from people or other factors, that were stopping his progress.

Portable believed this prayer resulted in Queen Dami leaving him. He felt a sense of relief that she was out of his life, noting that she had been a significant obstacle to his achievements.

Speaking in Yoruba, the Zazu Zeh hitmaker said:

“I gave food to Aje and I prayed to Ifa and I was told to say that anything blocking my way, whether it’s a woman or man that I accommodated that is not letting me progress, let them depart from me, so that they don’t remove my battery. Can’t you see that girl has run away? She has gone with her problems. She’s one of the reasons I have not won a Grammy Award. Assuming she wasn’t in my life, I would have won a Grammy.”
