The popular rapper Drake has taken to social media to express his gratitude to Afro-beat sensation Wizkid as their hit song One Dance reaches 3 billion streams on Spotify. 

Drake shared the statement from Spotify, the well-known streaming service, on his verified Instagram page’s insta-stories section as the song garnered 3,002,082,636 streams.

Remember when Canadian rapper Drake released the throwback hit song “One Dance” in 2016 featuring Kyla Reid and Wizkid.

After One Dance was released, it became quite popular all around the world, breaking records, earning a lot of replay value, and even getting a Grammy nomination.

With 3 billion plays on Spotify, “One Dance” becomes the 7th song to reach that milestone.

Expressing gratitude to Wizkid and other artists for their hard work on the song “One Dance,” Drake wrote;

“One Dance is officially your First 3 Billion stream single, the 7th ever on Spotify. I remember walking into SOTA & your chalk board with the working track list for VIEWS, there was a song called “High Powered”. I asked which it was & you said “It’s an 85 beat I haven’t recorded yet..but it’s the Single & it’s Gone!”
