Travis Scott, a popular American rapper, was arrested on Friday following a fight at a five-star hotel in the French capital, according to prosecutors.
“Policemen were called to the Georges V hotel and arrested Travis Scott for violence against a security agent. The latter had intervened to separate the rapper from his bodyguard,” the Paris prosecutor’s office said in a statement.
It wasn’t immediately clear whether the 33-year-old singer was being arrested.
Scott was spotted at the Olympics’ men’s basketball semi-finals on Thursday evening.
The musician, whose real name is Jacques Bermon Webster, was arrested in Miami Beach in June for trespassing and disorderly intoxication, according to records.
Scott’s “Utopia” was nominated for Best Rap Album at this year’s Grammys.
Other ventures include merchandising collaborations with Nike, Epic Games, and McDonald’s.
Scott has two children with Kylie Jenner, a social media star and business mogul.
In other news, In a recent interview with People Magazine, Yung Miami discussed her relationship with Diddy and the abuse charges against his ex-girlfriend, Cassie.
The rapper, born Caresha Brownlee, spoke about the challenges of her time with Diddy, revealing how their relationship was founded on mutual respect and support, particularly for her career.
Yung Miami characterized Diddy as more than just a romantic partner; he was also a mentor who believed in her potential outside of music. “I just think that when I met Diddy, he was just a man first,” she says.
“He was more into what I wanted to do, and he approached me with a lot of business [ideas]. ‘You should do this. I see this in you.’ So it was more of that for me. He saw more in me than music.”
Yung Miami expressed her disbelief and hurt by the abuse charges against Diddy. “I was deeply hurt and shocked after watching the video,” she said, referring to the claims made by Cassie. However, she was quick to clarify that her experience with Diddy was different.
“That was not my experience at all,” she stated, emphasizing that her connection with him was free of abuse or toxic behaviour.
Yung Miami, now 30 years old and a mother of two, has matured from her prior experiences and set hard limits. “Being 30 with two kids, that’s something I don’t condone or tolerate, something that I grew from,” she told me.
“That’s why I say that wasn’t my experience with him because I wouldn’t even put up with that [again].
“When asked about the end of their relationship, Yung Miami explained that it was simply a matter of timing and circumstances. “
Sometimes a relationship runs its course. People break up every day, and with everything that happened, I just needed time alone,” she revealed, hinting to the complications that led to their split.
Yung Miami’s candid disclosures in her People Magazine interview provide a complete glimpse into her personal and professional life, shedding light on her connection with Diddy in the wake of recent controversy.
