In Abuja, an individual known for crossdressing encountered harassment after being approached by a group of young individuals who questioned his choice to wear women’s attire while standing by the roadside at night, resembling a sex worker.
A video that has surfaced online captures the crossdresser’s response to the group, who challenged him about his clothing. His demeanor and body language conveyed a sense of fear as he sought to justify his appearance, stating that he dresses in this manner, even in his professional life, as it reflects his personal identity.
In another segment of the video, the crossdresser is shown being forcibly stripped of his garments, leaving him in only his trousers. The group, having thoroughly intimidated him, commanded him to flee immediately. As he ran away, they laughed and pursued him.
This incident has ignited a vigorous discussion on social media. While some users express support for the group’s actions, a significant number of others are appalled by the harassment and public shaming that the crossdresser endured.
