Excitement and anticipation are growing as Afrobeat superstar Davido reveals the release date of his highly awaited duet with Grammy-winning artist Angelique Kidjo.
On his social media accounts, the singer expressed his delight about collaborating with the iconic Beninese-French singer-songwriter on their new song, “JOY,” which will be released on Friday, August 30th.
His words: “It was an honor working with the legend @angeliquekidjo on JOY. Dropping Friday”
Angelique Kidjo emphasized that the song represents everything about her and expressed gratitude to Davido for his contribution to their successful collaboration.
She wrote: “This song JOY is who I am! Coming out this Friday, thank you @davido for bringing your LIGHT! No one could have done it better We hope this song can bring the world together for a moment of JOY!”
This isn’t the first time Davido has collaborated with the 64-year-old singer. They previously worked together on his hit song, “Na Money,” alongside The Cavemen.
