A real estate firm has officially denied allegations that fashion entrepreneur Sophia Momodu, the mother of Afrobeats artist Davido’s daughter, Imade Adeleke, is the owner of an opulent residence she recently displayed on social media.
On Friday, September 20, Momodu utilized Snapchat to provide her followers with a glimpse of what she suggested was her newly acquired home.
The video showcased a tour of the interior of the property, highlighting a grand staircase and several vacant rooms. This presentation captivated viewers, igniting discussions across various social media platforms regarding her supposed new acquisition.
However, mere hours later, the real estate firm linked to the property issued a statement refuting Momodu’s claim of ownership.
In their statement, the company remarked, “It’s the effrontery and the guts to lie with so much confidence.”
The firm did not elaborate on the reasons for the house’s appearance in her Snapchat video or whether she had engaged in any preliminary discussions concerning the purchase.
This public denial has elicited a range of reactions online, with some fans expressing bewilderment, while others speculate whether the house tour was merely a preview of a potential purchase or part of a promotional deal.
