    • She defended her decision to publicly reveal her marriage and husband Femi Atere, stating that online content only reflects a small portion of real life.

Prominent Nigerian fashion designer and influencer Veekee James has responded to criticism regarding the extent of her marital life shared on social media.

During her appearance on the Creativitea Live with Linda podcast, Veekee James refuted the idea that maintaining secrecy is essential for a successful marriage, challenging the belief that public relationships are inherently more prone to failure.

She justified her choice to showcase her marriage and husband, Femi Atere, asserting that her online presence represents merely a fraction of their actual life together.

“At first, when we started getting backlash on social media, people kept telling me to keep my husband off the internet because he is a quiet man. Some even said that private marriages last longer. However, I’ve seen marriages that were kept off social media and didn’t even last a month. I’ve seen things people hid that didn’t last,” she said.

Veekee James, who regularly shares glimpses of her marriage with her audience, has sparked discussions among netizens, with some contending that she reveals too much. Nevertheless, she stands resolute in her belief that privacy does not equate to a durable relationship.

It is important to mention that the fashion designer previously disclosed the dissolution of her first relationship, despite her significant emotional investment in it.
