The Nigeria’s House of Representatives has set up an ad-hoc committee for the screening of the newly appointed Service Chiefs.

The Speaker of the House, Femi Gbajabiamila, during plenary on Wednesday, appointed the Chairman of House Committee on Defence, Babajimi Benson, as the head of the 20-member committee.

The speaker noted that the 20-member committee consists of five members each from the committees on Defense, Army, Navy, and Airforce.

Reading the President’s letter addressed to him, Gbajabiamila said that the president is seeking the confirmation of the newly appointed Service Chiefs.
