Popular skit creator Cute Abiola is paying tribute to the late Nigerian artist Mohbad on the one-year anniversary of his passing, highlighting that his impact still lives on.
It’s been a year since Mohbad left us on September 12, 2023, and despite extensive investigations, the exact cause of his death is still a mystery.
Today, many in the Nigerian entertainment scene are sharing their thoughts and memories of him on social media.
Cute Abiola also took to Instagram to mark this somber day, writing a touching tribute to honor Mohbad.
He included a video of Mohbad in a church, where he shared his gratitude to God while reflecting on his journey.

In other news, A 17-year-old student, Naledi “Nalz” Nkosi, tragically lost her life after being poisoned by unidentified individuals at her school in South Africa.
The grade 10 pupil at MOM SEBONENE Secondary School in Duduza, Tsakane, Gauteng was poisoned on September 5, 2024. She succumbed to her critical injuries on September 9.
In a statement of solidarity released on Wednesday, September 11, the Pan Africanist Students Organisation (PASO) condemned this incident and called for a comprehensive investigation.
“We, the Pan Africanist Students Organisation (PASO), are deeply saddened by the tragic loss of Naledi Nkosi “Nalz”, a former student of Mamellong Comprehensive School and currently a grade 10 learner at MOM SEBONI Secondary School in Duduza,” the statement read.
“Our hearts go out to her family, friends, and the entire student community during this difficult time.
“We condemn the alleged poisoning that led to her passing and demand a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death. No student should ever have to face harm or violence, especially in a place of learning.
“We stand in solidarity with the students and staff of Mamellong Comprehensive School and MOM SEBONI Secondary School, and offer our deepest condolences to Naledi’s family.
