Nollywood actress and on-air personality Chinedu Ani Emmanuel, also known as Nedu, has spoken out against women who call themselves independent but depend on men for money to survive.
He asserted that the majority of women who identify as independent are mistresses of married men who finance their luxurious lifestyles.
Nedu made this statement on the most recent episode of the audiovisual podcast The Honest Bunch, which he also co-hosted.
The OAP, on the other hand, asserted that there are successful women who work hard and won’t compromise their principles; these women shouldn’t be contrasted with the so-called independent women who lavishly live off the money of wealthy men.
He said;
Forget all this one that ladies are saying, ‘I’m independent’. My aunty, for you to open that shop, you collected money from five different men. And you are calling yourself independent. You are not.
You should not be in that category. There are hard working ladies who toil and hustle for contracts. And when people want to disturb them, ‘You’ll have to sleep with me.’ They walk out of the office.
Media and On-Air Personality (OAP), Nedu has dropped another controversial opinion that has stirred reaction from Netizens.
During a recent episode of the podcast ‘The Honest Bunch,’ popular Nigerian comedian Nedu shared his thoughts on finding love in different parts of the country.
According to him, it’s easier to find love in northern states such as Jos and Gombe than in Lagos.
Nedu went on to explain that in Lagos, it can be difficult to find true love because many people are more concerned about financial gain than genuine affection.
He believes that in other parts of the country, people are more open to forming authentic connections without being overly preoccupied with money and material possessions.
This revelation has sparked a conversation on social media, with many people sharing their own experiences and opinions on the matter.
Some have agreed with Nedu’s sentiments, while others have pointed out that finding love is difficult no matter where you are in the world.
