Despite the fact that Rick Ross is only 42 years old he has already dealt with various health issues. The latest health scare came yesterday. Someone from the rapper’s home in Miami called 911 early in the morning around 3:30 AM to say the person in distress was ‘unresponsive with heavy breathing’.
The caller said the man in distress had a history of seizures and that they tried to wake him but he was ‘slobbing out the mouth’.
According to TMZ, Rick Ross is being treated in the hospital’s cardiac unit, and it is suspected the star suffered a heart attack which manifested itself in respiratory issues.
Ross’ former girlfriend and mother of his son William Roberts III, told PEOPLE,
‘Pray for him.’
The Aston Martin Music rapper has been ‘hooked up to a machine that’s taking over the function of his heart and lungs’ whilst he continues to undergo treatment at the hospital.
According to several reports, Rick has been placed on ECMO, or extracorporeal membrane oxygenation, which is a technique used to oxygenate his blood outside of his body before it’s pumped back into his body.
A dispatch report of the incident from Davie Police Department said Ross became ‘combative’ when officers attended the scene and it added that he ‘Boo-Bood on himself’.
Another source told TMZ that the hip-hop star was reportedly asked to make an appearance Thursday night, but a rep told him the mogul was in the hospital.
His eldest daughter Toie Roberts took to Instagram Friday posting a picture with her dad captioned,
‘you the best daddy ever’ and ‘my mainman. Love him so much’.
On the other hand, a family member denied the fact that Rick Ross was taken to the hospital.
As we already mentioned above, Rick already had his share of problems with his health. He suffered two seizures on two fights back in 2011.
