A presidential aspirant under the All Progressives Congress, Rochas Okorocha, has reacted to the invasion of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on his residence in Abuja.
Gistlover had earlier reported that operatives of EFCC stormed the residence of Okorocha on Tuesday.
The former Governor of Imo State in a chat with Channels TV accused the anti-graft agency of holding them hostage.
He condemned operatives of the commission for invading his residence, adding that he would not come out until he sees a warrant of arrest.
According to Okorocha, he was supposed to be getting ready for the screening process of presidential aspirants under the ruling party.
Okorocha said, “I am (being) held hostage here, I would say.
“I have enquired if they have an arrest warrant or not and I am supposed to be getting ready for screening.
“I don’t know what is happening, unfortunately, this is happening here. I will be here until I know what they want, I want to see a warrant of arrest or court order.”
Operatives of the EFCC are reportedly in the residence of the former Governor for snubbing several invitations extended to him over alleged corruption charges.
