Renowned actress Ibironke Ojo-Anthony, better known as Ronke Oshodi-Oke, has revealed that she is working hard to get her daughter back to school after she was poisoned.
The mother of two had recently called out the school where she spends N1.3M yearly for her daughter’s education for their neglect, which nearly killed her kid.
Ronke Oshodi-Oke told Saturday Beats that even though her daughter had resumed studies, she was still extremely upset and concerned.
“I cannot be at peace letting her go back to the same school. I have called her more than five times today (Thursday). Whenever I call and she does not answer the phone, I would be worried.
However, I know the people in the school would have seen the video I made. I will still go there on Monday to have a meeting with them. If they don’t tell me what I want or respond well, that is when I will mention the name of the school.
We don’t know the people who actually did it, but according to them (the school), they are investigating the issue.”
“This did not happen to me because I am a public figure. There have been similar cases of children even losing their lives in similar circumstances.
“The devil is living in some people’s children. The children we are talking about here are between the ages of 16 and 20. I see them as children, and I wonder why such children could think of doing something so evil. When they become proper adults, what would they then do?”
“I did not let her go back without strong warnings. I told her that whenever she wants to eat, she should be careful. I also told her that she should never leave her food or drink unattended to for whatever reason, even if she is going to the toilet.”

Nollywood actress, Ronke Oshodioke has shared a video in which she spoke of how daughter fell ill after drinking water that had been laced with bleach by her “roommate or friend.”
Ronke said she was called around 3:45 am on a Friday, with the news that her daughter, Jumoke, drank hypo. She said she was surprised to hear such a news and quickly ran to the school’s hospital, where met her daughter crying and in discomfort.
It was later discovered that someone had deliberately poured hypo into Jumoke’s water bottle which had water in it, with the intention to kill her. Ronke said her daughter woke up 3am to drink the water after which she began to feel pains.
She said Jummy was taken to three different hospitals before she got better.
Ronke said she doesn’t want to name the private University where the incident occurred three weeks ago, but she warned the school to do better. She said she has just two kids so she wouldn’t want anything of such happening to her first child again.
She also warned other students of the school with ill intentions, to stay away from her daughter.
