"Running An Owambe Magazine Does Not Qualify to Criticize Tinubu" - Reno tells Dele Momodu

Reno Omokri, a controversial political commentator, has slammed Dele Momodu, who recently published an open letter criticizing President Tinubu for the country’s current economic hardship.

In an interview with TVC today, July 23, Omokri asked how someone who studied Yoruba at university and runs ‘Owambe magazine’ could be an expert on Nigeria’s economy.

In other news, Teni, also known as Teniola Apata, expressed her joy as she explained her decision not to hire a bodyguard while in the United Kingdom.

Teni demonstrated her trust in her faith in God instead of opting for an expensive bouncer during her stay in UK.

On Tuesday, the singer went on her Instagram to explain why she decided to forgo the expensive security service.

She mentioned that getting a bouncer would set her back £500 daily, which is roughly ₦1 million at the exchange rate of ₦2,090 per pound.

“Bouncer wey I wan collect wey dem tell me say na £500 per day. You know how much be £500?” Teni said before calculating the hefty amount.

The singer commented that by giving that sum to one of her aunts, the woman would be at her service as a personal guard.

Teni stressed that she did not consider herself a high-risk individual similar to Osama Bin Laden, therefore not justifying the need for such costly protection. She expressed this sentiment in Pidgin English.

Which kian work you dey do wey you wan dey bouncer me for ₦1 million a day? How many days you think sey I wan spend for here?

“If I give my Aunty that money gan, Aunty Kehinde. Aunty Kehinde go turn army. Shey na me be Osama Bin Laden wey dem dey find?”

Teni reiterated her faith by affirming that the Lord is her shepherd and expressing her conviction that God will safeguard her no matter where she may journey. She continued:

“The Lord is my shepherd, God don tell me sey na him be my shepherd. No shepherd fit shepherd me pass God. Make una no worry.”

Teni mentioned that when she got to the UK, she was told to be careful because there were thieves who might try to steal her expensive necklace, and also that there were dangerous people with knives in the area.

Her fans suggested she hire a bouncer, which made her reveal the expenses and explain why she decided against it.
