Sabinus, a well-known content creator, has launched his first digital currency, Sabicoin, making him the second Nigerian celebrity to do so in the last month.
It should be noted that the Afrobeat musician, Davido Adeleke, introduced his token, $Davido, few weeks ago, causing an upset owing to losses experienced by certain followers.
Sabinus disclosed in a recent article on the X platform that his digital currency was influenced by investor instinct as well as viral memes on social media.
“Sabicoin is a digital currency inspired by the Investor himself, Sabinus and the popular use of his memes on several social media platforms,” he stated.
Despite the effect, supporters voiced anxiety as many struggled to recover their losses on the $Davido currency.
