Sean Diddy Combs denied bail for the third time

• Former hip-hop mogul, 55, attempted for release before Thanksgiving but remains in custody at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center until his trial in May 2025.

• His lawyers argued that the payment would ensure he wouldn’t flee or attempt to intimidate witnesses.

Sean “Diddy” Combs has once again been denied bail, marking the third occasion as he awaits trial on allegations of sex trafficking and racketeering.

The 55-year-old former hip-hop executive sought release ahead of Thanksgiving but will remain in custody at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn until his trial, which is set for May 2025.

Combs, who refutes the allegations against him, proposed a bail package of $50 million during a recent hearing. His legal team contended that this amount would ensure he would not flee or attempt to intimidate any witnesses.

Nevertheless, US District Judge Arun Subramanian dismissed the request in a written decision issued on Wednesday.

The judge referenced evidence of Combs’ history of violent conduct, including a 2016 hotel surveillance video that depicted him assaulting his former partner, Cassie. Judge Subramanian also raised concerns regarding the potential for witness tampering.

In the ruling, the judge stated: “The Court finds that the government has shown by clear and convincing evidence that no condition or combination of conditions will reasonably assure the safety of the community.”

In other news, Nigerian comedian and actor Adebowale Adedayo, commonly referred to as Mr. Macaroni, has expressed that maintaining fidelity in marriage and relationships is “challenging” yet “achievable.”

During his appearance on the ‘Diary Of A Naija Girl’ podcast, Mr. Macaroni revealed that, despite not being in a romantic relationship at present, he has acquired considerable insight by providing counsel to his friends regarding their relationships.

“I’m serious. I’m an expert because my friends talk to me about their relationships and I advise them. But I think it’s easy to help them because I’m outside the relationship.

“So, it’s very difficult not to cheat as a married person. Both male and female, not just the man… You tell yourself that you will cheat only once, but once you start, there’s no going back.”
