MultiChoice Nigeria has dropped a bombshell ahead of the 2024 season of Big Brother Naija (BBNaija), announcing a whopping N100 million as the grand prize for the reality TV show.
Busola Tejumola, MultiChoice’s executive head of content and West Africa channels, revealed juicy facts in a viral video circulating on social media, including the show’s premiere date of Sunday, July 28th.
Tejumola highlighted that the debut will dominate screens across all Africa Magic channels beginning at 7 p.m. WAT.
But here’s the twist: after 71 days of electrifying action, the show’s ultimate champion will be rewarded with the coveted N100 million jackpot and a sleek new SUV. Interestingly, this sum represents a considerable N20 million decrease from the previous year’s reward.
Tejumola said:
“After 71 days of game playing, on the 6th of October, 2024, a grand total of N100 million worth of cash and a brand new SUV will be won,”
“Our grand prize this year is worth N10o million.”
Remember, in October 2023, Ilebaye Odiniya won the crown and a whooping N120 million in the all-stars (8th) season, setting a high standard for future candidates to meet.
The anticipation for the ninth season of Big Brother Naija has reached fever pitch, with auditions beginning on March 27 and ending on May 4.
The show’s organizers vow that this year’s edition will be an explosive mix of drama, passion, and fierce rivalry.
BBNaija has promised a season unlike any other, promising “double drama, relationships, and huge competition.”
