Selena Gomez, the well-known singer and actress from America, has shared her intention to adopt children if she remains unmarried by the age of 35.
The 31-year-old singer mentioned that she came up with this idea after being single for five years before starting a relationship with producer and songwriter, Benny Blanco, last year.
During a recent interview with Time Magazine, the former Disney star discussed her initial struggles with loneliness and how she found solace in not being in a romantic relationship.*
“I was alone for five years, and I got really used to it,” she said.
“A lot of people are afraid of being alone and I probably tortured myself in my head for like two years being alone, and then I kind of accepted it. Then I came up with my plan, which was I was going to adopt at 35 if I had not met anyone.”
The singer said her current relationship with Blanco happened when she least expected it.
She confirmed she was dating Benny Blanco in December 2023.
