The remains of the late Sen. Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke was committed to mother earth on Monday amid tears from sympathisers and palpable tension amongst his kinsmen and political followers.
The late politician, after being blessed through Islamic prayers by array of clerics was buried before 12:noon.
Sympathizers cried their ”eyes out”, especially Ede indigenes who were his beneficiaries and other well wishers, as tension continued to rise in his home town, Ede, over the circumstances surrounding his death.
DAILY POST reports that Adeleke, who was the first Executive Governor of Osun State died in the early hours of Sunday of a yet to be ascertained ailment.
His body was, thereafter, taken to Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) for autopsy, which was carried out on Sunday evening.
Meanwhile, among the early caller to Adeleke’s country home at Ede, was the Governor of Ekiti State, Mr Ayodele Fayose, and other dignitaries.
