Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, who previously supported the Young Progressive Party and represented Anambra South, has moved to the party in power, the All Progressives Congress.
His defection was announced in a letter addressed to Senate President Godswill Akpabio that was read aloud in the Senate Chamber on Thursday.
According to the letter, Ubah, who had previously won a second term as YPP president, stated that the irreconcilable internal conflicts inside the party were the cause of his decision to transfer parties.
