“Send my ₦100k” – Port Harcourt shoemaker takes on Nelson’s challenge, recreates his design

• Nelson posted a video of a shoe he made, inviting other shoemakers to replicate it and offering a ₦100,000 prize for anyone who could match his craftsmanship.

Akpaka NG, a shoemaker based in Port Harcourt, has responded to a challenge from Lagos shoemaker Nelson, who recently went viral for claiming to be Nigeria’s finest shoemaker.

Nelson released a video displaying a shoe he created and dared others to replicate it, offering a ₦100,000 cash prize for anyone who could match his work.

In retaliation, Akpaka NG crafted the same shoe and shared a video that outlined the detailed steps he took.

He criticized Nelson’s assertion of being the best, pointing out that many skilled artisans, including himself, have made valuable contributions to the Nigerian shoemaking industry.

Akpaka also highlighted flaws in Nelson’s original design and proclaimed himself the winner of the challenge, asking Nelson to pay the promised ₦100,000 reward.
