Afrobeats musician Seun Kuti made fun of comedian AY Makun in response to a skit acted by fellow comedian Bovi.

The comedy has gained popularity on social media and shows a negotiation scenario with kidnappers leading to the release of kidnapped Nigerian celebrities.

In the video, Bovi can be seen pleading for the release of a number of celebrities. He even offers millions of naira for some, while jokingly suggesting that Seun Kuti settle for N250k.

Not content with the sum, the kidnapper threatened to murder Seun should Bovi bring up the subject once more. Bovi wanted the kidnappers to kill Seun, so he would not stop saying, “250, 250.”

Seun Kuti complimented Bovi on his sense of humor during a recent Instagram live session, drawing a satirical comparison between him and AY Makun, whom he called poorly at comedic roles.

While disparaging AY Makun, the musician found humor in Bovi’s creativity.
