Afrobeats artist Seun Kuti sparked conversation when he questioned why footballers make millions while essential workers earn much less.
He pointed out that during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, society managed without footballers, but essential workers were crucial in keeping everyone safe.
Seun believes it’s unjust for footballers to have such high salaries, especially when many young boys in his community play football without any pay.
“Collecting millions to chase ball around field, footballers are making millions weekly. Why should footballers be paid better than nurse and doctors? It’s not fair “ Seun said.
