Nigerian Afrobeat star Seun Kuti has jumped into the controversy involving his friend, Martins Vincent Otse, known as Verydarkman (VDM).
VDM has released shocking evidence that has gone viral on social media. VDM’s revelations target crossdresser Bobrisky, the EFCC, and popular artist Falz, along with his well-known father, Senior Advocate Femi Falana. This is quickly turning into one of the biggest scandals of the year.
Earlier, GistLover reported that VDM shared a video featuring a voice recording of Bobrisky allegedly confessing to paying N15 million to some EFCC officials to drop his money laundering charges.
The controversial socialite was charged earlier this year, but Bobrisky stated that his money and connections helped him escape punishment.
In a video, he claimed to have talked to Falz and his father, Femi Falana, who assured him that his name would be cleared.
In a shocking revelation, Bobrisky also said he contacted his “godfather,” who arranged for an apartment near the prison in case he had to serve time.
Seun Kuti, known for speaking his mind, didn’t hold back this time. In an intense live session, he shared that VDM was the one who first contacted him with the shocking evidence. Seun mentioned that he fully trusted VDM and allowed him to share the information with everyone.
What really upset Seun Kuti was the clear difference in how justice was applied. He couldn’t believe that Bobrisky seemed to receive special treatment from the EFCC, while he, despite his well-known name, ended up in Panti prison during his own conflict with the Nigerian police.

The bold musician didn’t hold back. He strongly criticized the EFCC, saying the anti-corruption agency was never meant to target the true enemies of the state.
Seun argued that the EFCC was just a tool created by former President Olusegun Obasanjo and the U.S. government to go after minor criminals like “yahoo boys” and online fraudsters, while allowing corrupt politicians and wealthy business people to escape punishment.
Seun pointed out that the agency’s focus is misplaced, as they ignore the serious political and corporate corruption in Nigeria. Instead, they concentrate on young internet fraudsters, who he believes are not the main issue facing the country.
