The ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, has posited that the agitation for Biafra, will ruin the chances of the Igbos ever producing Nigeria’s President.
The party stated this through its National Auditor, George Maghagu, in an interview with Newsmen.
While responding to questions, he said: “By the time the Presidency leaves the North after eight years, what will happen is that honestly speaking, every zone in this country has produced the President except the South-East, and I think that we the leaders of the South-East should go back to the drawing table to plot, to think, to work out how it is going to manifest, because we are looking at the President of Nigeria of Igbo extraction. For us to achieve that, we must talk to the Northerners, we need to talk to the South-West, we need to talk to every Nigerian, to see it from our perspective.
“But the agitation for Biafra, will make the Igbos not to produce a President.
“If we should be talking about that, I don’t think it makes sense for us to be talking about secession, because they are two straight lines that can never meet.”
