SHOCKER!!!The Reason Why Nigeria U-23 Dream Team VI Played Without NFF Logo on Their Jersey .
Nigeria’s U-23 side, in the early hours of Friday, August 5 beat Japan 5-4 in their first Group B game of Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
During the game, it was noticed that the new Nike kit which the players were wearing did not have the logo of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on it.
Gist lover Sports findings have revealed that the kits did not have the NFF logo on it because of a regulation by the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
According to the regulation, only the logos of the National Olympic Committee and that of the kit sponsors are allowed on the shirt.
The strips unveiled by the NFF some days have the Nike and the football association’s emblem on it.
But as the Olympic Games are not really overseen by the football associations, jerseys are regulated to have just the emblem of their local Olympic committees.
