The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC have rescued a malnourished 9-year-old boy named Taiwo Korede who was chained for weeks at the Celestial Church of Christ key of Joy Parish in Ajiwo, Ogun State, They say he was chained for spiritual reasons, but the boy looked obviously malnourished as he was rescued.
The case has now been transferred to the appropriate authorities and the leaders of the church would be made to answer why he was treated in such a manner. A photo below shows how efforts are been made to cut off the chain on him when he was rescued.
