Nigerian artist Terry Alexander Ejeh, known as Terry Apala, recently acknowledged Wizkid’s fans for influencing his music in a Gen Z way.

In a recent interview with Echo Room, the Apala Disco musician expressed gratitude to various individuals who have shaped his career.

Terry Apala talked about DJ Tunez, Seyi Vibez, and Wizkid FC. The 35-year-old ex-banker noted that Wizkid’s fans have always supported him and are an important part of his journey.

He added that since Wizkid FC began sharing his music online, he has noticed how much Gen Z influences his work.

In his words:

“Shout out to Wizkid FC; they’ve always been there for me, too. Shout out to DJ Tunez and Seyi Vibes. We can’t exclude Wizkid FC from the picture because I feel like since they started posting my stuff, tweeting about my stuff, I can feel the Gen Z’s impact in my craft.”

During the interview, Terry Apala also recognized the fans of David Adeleke, known as Davido, and those of Damini Ogulu, who is called Burna Boy. He said:

“Shout out to 30BG. You can’t take all the Wizkid FC, 30BGs, Outsiders, people are beginning to… my Instatran don busy now, social media don busy now.”

The Apala musician mentioned that he would gladly work with Davido on a music project if Davido asked him today. He emphasized that there is mutual respect and love between Wizkid FC and 30BG fans.
