  • The 30-day rant challenge on social media is gaining popularity.
  • Veteran singer Chinagorom Onuoha, known as African China, has joined the challenge.
  • African China participated by sharing a video with his children.

The ongoing 30-day rant challenge on social media continues to gain momentum, with veteran singer Chinagorom Onuoha, popularly known as African China, becoming the latest celebrity to participate.

In a recently shared video, the Ajegunle-born musician and his children joined the trending challenge by singing along to his latest single, “Photocopy,” which sheds light on Nigeria’s economic struggles.

The song, originally released two years ago, criticizes the Nigerian government and political elite for their handling of the country’s affairs. In the accompanying music video, African China is seen wearing a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) uniform while addressing social and economic issues.

His participation in the challenge also serves as a gesture of solidarity with corps member Ushie Rita Uguamaye, who sparked controversy after publicly criticizing President Tinubu. Her viral NYSC video is widely credited with igniting the ongoing rant challenge.

African China is no stranger to using music as a tool for activism. “Photocopy” joins his catalog of politically charged songs, following in the footsteps of his classic hit “Mr. President,” which remains one of Nigeria’s most impactful protest songs against socioeconomic injustice.
